Style meets strength.

It started with frustration, and with night shifts.
I work for the NHS. Long days, nights, finishing a shift with no time or energy left for the gym.

I still wanted to move, but at home, in my living room, in the ten minutes I actually had.
Every ankle weight I found was the same. Bulky black/grey neoprene. Something you hide in a cupboard.

After a tired day, that was the last thing I wanted to reach for.
I wanted something inviting. Something pretty enough to leave on the floor and actually want to pick up. Something that made movement feel like self care, not another chore.
So I started designing it myself here in Brighton. A weight that’s soft on skin, strong enough to feel, and beautiful enough to wear from Pilates to the school run. No more ugly gym kit you have to apologise for.

That idea became Roar & Rose.
Our first piece, The Signature Ankle Weight, launches July 2026 in a first limited run of 100 pairs. Each pair is 1lb, wrapped in skin-soft silicone in our signature leopard.
This is for women like me. Women who work shifts, who train at home, who want strength that fits their real life and their style.
